Project of the Month
Enjoy the colors of
autumn. Make this simple yet attractive tablerunner quilt. Perfect for
your table or as a wall hanging or even for your front door.
This project includes two new leaf blocks that can be rotary cut and foundation
pieced, and 30 fall fabrics in shades of orange, purple, gold, beige and
brown. The fabric prints include pumpkins, leaves, sunflowers, jack-o-lanterns,
and spider webs – perfect fabrics for your fall projects.
The quilt features:
Five 9-inch leaf blocks
1-inch long vertical inner border
3-inch long vertical main border
Binding
The overall size is 18” by 54”. Use the quilt just as it is
or modify it in any way you like with Quilt Design Wizard™.
Download
the Project
Before
you download a project, close other programs running. Then click the Download
the Project button. A File Download dialog box appears.
1. Select the Save
this program to disk option.
2. Click OK. A Save As box appears.
3. Click the down arrow beside the Save in: box. A list
drops down.
4. Scroll to find the hard drive where you installed Quilt Design Wizard™
(typically C:\).
5. Click on this hard drive letter. This puts the hard drive letter in
the Save in: box. You see a list of folders below.
6. Double-click on the folder name where you want to save the file (typically
My Documents).
7. Click the Save button. The Quilt Design Wizard™
project file will be saved to your computer.
8. Start Quilt Design Wizard™ and open the project.
9. Enjoy!
Collect
ALL the monthly downloads!
Save each monthly
download to build up your collection of blocks and fabrics in your
Quilt Design Wizard program.
To collect
blocks and fabrics**:
1.
Download the monthly project and save it to your computer (see above).
2. Open the project.
3. Click the
Blocks tab to display the blocks in the project.
4. In the palette on the right, click to select a block
that you want to save in your collection.
5. Click the Add to Favorites button above the
blocks. Your block is now in your Favorites.
6. Click the down arrow next to My Block Favorites.
Your block will display at the end of the block list.
**Do the
same steps to collect fabrics in your Favorites.
To use
blocks or fabrics from your collections:
1. Open Quilt Design Wizard.
2. Click the Fabrics tab to retrieve fabrics from
past monthly downloads.
3. Click the down arrow next to My Fabric Favorites.
4. Click to select the fabric you want to add to
the current project.
5. Click Add to Project.
6. Click the down arrow next to Fabrics in this Project.
The fabric will display at the end of the fabric list. |
