Electric Quilt 5 Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I save on a floppy disk? I always get the message that the disk is full.
The number of projects you can save on a floppy disk depends on the size of the project. This, in large part, depends on the number of scanned fabrics you have used in the project. The EQ5 fabrics palette contains all scanned fabric, because that is what users have indicated they wanted to use, rather than the computer-generated fabrics that were in the EQ4 palette. Therefore the size of a typical project in EQ5 is going to be much larger than the size of a typical project in EQ4, just because of the fabric palette.

To fit lots of projects onto one floppy disk, delete all of the fabric in the Sketchbook (open the Sketchbook, click the Fabrics tab, then click the Clear key), then go to the Fabric library and choose fabrics that say EQ3 or EQ4 in front of them. These are all computer-generated fabrics, not really scanned fabrics, and are therefore *much* smaller in size.
