Electric Quilt 5 Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set a picture in my quilt? It always seems to come out skewed when I click it in on Layer 1.
When you click Libraries - Import Picture, the bitmap picture goes to the fifth tab of your Blocks Sketchbook/Set tool.

If you click your picture into the quilt on Layer 1 like a block, it will skew to fit the block shape.

To set your picture in your quilt according to specific dimensions, you need to set it on Layer 3 like a stencil or embroidery.

  1. Click the Set tool.
  2. Click to the last tab of the Blocks palette.
  3. At the bottom of your screen, click to the Layer 3 tab.
  4. Hold down your keyboard SHIFT key.
  5. Position your cursor over the area you want the picture to go.
  6. Click and drag out a box while holding down the SHIFT key.
  7. Make sure the box is big enough so the picture will appear. Don't worry if the size is off, we are going to resize it in the next steps.
  8. Click the Adjust tool.
  9. Click on the picture to select it. Did the bottom of your screen light up with numbers in the Graph Pad area?
  10. If not, click VIEW at the top menu bar and click on Graph Pad to put a check next to it.
  11. Select the picture again if you need to.
  12. The third section of the graph pad is for size. Enter you size here and you picture will be perfectly sized.
