Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt PatternsCode: O-ENCYC
What is the Encyclopedia? The Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns by Barbara Brackman, is a pictorial index showing 4000 one-inch black and white drawings of pieced quilt designs published from the 1830s to the 1980s. This book, winner of the American Quilt Retailer's "All-Time Favorite" survey as the "Best Block Reference," is an inspiration for quilters. It is the companion book to BlockBase. Barbara began working on her encyclopedia back in the 1960's, before many quilt books were available. Her goal? To find the name of every quilt pattern ever designed. Thirty years (and thousands of patterns) later, she's found that pattern names never remain constant. Nevertheless, she's still collecting! All of the printable patterns from BlockBase were drawn from the sketches in the Encyclopedia. This hardcover book also includes the categories Strip Quilts, One-Patch and Multi-Patch. 551 pages
